Adoration ( Elements of Existence )

Look at Earth from the Heaven

I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.

Psalm 116:1
New King James Version (NKJV)

Since God is our creator then we should adore him.   Of course not all humans believe this concept and that is their burden to overcome.   What will they adore?  Themselves?  Nature?  The Sun?  Nothing?

As humans we are hardwired to have adoration for someone or something.   When we adore the ephemeral then our adoration is limited and small which makes our adoration futile and only temporal.  Are we lifting ourselves up to worship that which will only let us down?

When people indicate that God has let them down, has done nothing for them, or doesn't even exist I wonder if they have opened a line of honest communication.  God is not some sugar daddy or Santa Claus who dotes on you providing material comfort.  Nor is He a genie from a bottle beckoned to grant your wishes.  God is God the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

If you do not start with adoration when it comes to your Father in Heaven, then you are bound by the chains of your own self-love and a delusional desire for the earthly mortal things that will one day pass.  An eternal life in paradise is adoration of the One who created all things.

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
Revelation 5:13

Is Music the Language of the Angels?

The Ghent Altarpiece: Angels Playing Music

Praise the Lord with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
 Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully, and shout for joy.

Psalm 33:2-3
New International Version (NIV)

Music speaks to all of us in one way or another.  Where does music come from and why are we so attracted to music?   The rhythms of our heartbeats or our footsteps can become integrated into the natural music that occurs within us and all around us.  Our very lives are a part of a vast music of all the Earth and the universe.

God gave birds, whales, and other animals the abilities to communicate with music-like tones, rhythms, and sound patterns.   Astronomers have even used a measurement technique called "stellar seismology" to reproduce the sounds emanating from the stars in the heavens.  In the book of Job we are told that "the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy" (Job 38:7).   Music was instilled in all of God creation from the outset.

It seems possible that music could be the language of the angels.  Ears perk up and become attentive at the sound of music.  All music communicates something of some nature to us the hearers.  That music can be pleasing for some and for others not so pleasing.  Just as we have different spoken languages there are stylistic variations in musical sounds according to culture.  A person from Ireland will respond to one kind of music that may sound quite alien to the person in India and vice versa.

When human language was disseminated at the Tower of Babel it's possible that the music languages were distributed in kind.   If we accept a premise that music was originally a language of heaven that was given to humans then we might also accept that the intent of music has been corrupted and given an earthly value.   This is not to say this man-centered music is bad, but we might want to be discriminating about the nature of the music to which we listen.

Personally, I greatly enjoy music and appreciate many styles of music.  There are some musical works that speak to me in more heavenly ways than others, but I think that all music has some purpose.  Perhaps some music is better than others, but music should be given a chance before we dismiss it on initial listening.

I know what I like.  I can appreciate the efforts and talents of those who perform music that might not appeal to me so much.  Most of us probably have an inherent judgement of what music is better than other kinds.   What we do with that judgement is another thing entirely  If the music elevates us to a higher level of positiveness and enlightenment then perhaps we are hearing the language of the heavens.

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.
James 5:13
New International Version (NIV)

The One Majestic Ruler of All

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 8:9

New International Version (NIV)

There is no earthly power that comes close to our Sovereign God.   To place our complete trust and faith in some monarch, president, caliph, pope, or any other leader of world or religious affairs is foolish.  Humans are below God as is all of the creation of the Almighty Creator.  Worshipping temporal entities or even the elements that have existed for eons makes no sense when considered from the aspect of spiritual logic.

There is one God, one Creator, and one Holy of all Holies.   If you are worshipping anyone or anything else then you are worshipping passing fancy and meaningless exultation.   Who do you hold on high?   Will that "god" be around tomorrow?   A million years from now?   Has that "god" answered any of your prayers?   Comforted you in your times of greatest need?

Consult the Holy Bible with your mind and heart open.   You can find answers.   And if the One Holy Lord God is with you then you will find answers.  This is the greatest logic for those who have found true wisdom.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:24-25

King James Version (KJV)

Sing Praise Forever

To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Psalm 30:12

King James Version (KJV)

God has given us the gift of music.  We should be singing.   Is music the language of Heaven?
Sing praise. Sing praise.  I could sing of your love forever.  All nature sings and around me rings the music of the spheres.
