The Waiting
The Waiting is a Beatlesque alt-rock Christian band that I started listening to in the late 1990s. It was a listening phase in a way. I acquired a few of their CDs and began listening to the music on a regular basis over a couple year period. Then I stopped listening to music as much as I had done back then. I started listening more to classical music or older rock music.
The CDs are there waiting for me if I ever want to listen to them. The Waiting plays good music with smart lyrics and good musicianship. I still like the group just fine. I'm sure I'll listen to those CDs again eventually. I'm waiting.

Hey Arlee, Interesting music.
ReplyDeleteI'm following your advice and have joined and followed your blog. Good luck on reaching 100! I too, would love to have 100 or more. Thanks for this opportunity to reach out, to be discovered, to really have to stretch my brain each day to find a word matching the letter. I'm going to participate in the May 7th blog as well. This at to z blog has been good for my self motivation.
First time I've heard this band, I think. My main music is contempory Christian. Christian music helps me through my days. :)

I enjoyed that! And I don't usually listen to contemporary Christian, but I love the older spiritual songs. Actually, I don't listen to much new music. Thanks...I think I will try to post them to my musical group for them to enjoy
ReplyDeleteDidn't this band either. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYvonne -- They do some nice songs.

Soggy -- I don't keep up much with new music either. I've been enjoying the older stuff too much.
Petra -- I have several CDs by them. I enjoy the music of this group.

ReplyDeleteG'day Arlee, First time I've heard this band. I actually really liked it, mostly I listen to easy listening and pop rock Christian music. So I was pleasantly surprised with this one. See ya mate. Have a good one. Love, KC
ReplyDeleteScots Lass -- Thanks for the follow
ReplyDeleteFunny -- Not that they could be mistaken for the Beatles. I just thought that some of the songs by The Waiting have that sound.
Lynn -- Who knows what is going on with Blogger. I haven't encountered any problems today--not yet.
KC -- The Waiting has a pretty light pop-rock sound I think. They're easy on the ears.

I like it! It's not usually what I listen to but I'm always open to new sounds. My usual is classic rock and classical. But there's a mood for every kind of music. Thanks for this one. :)
ReplyDeletePS - I'm following ... your blog .... and your advice regarding followers. I've been commenting and visiting like crazy. I'll be continuing after the challenge is over because I want to get to all the blogs. :)
There is a song by The Waiting that I absolutely love -- 'Hands in the Air.'
ReplyDeleteJanyce -- The Waiting has a more 70s type sound which is why I like them I guess. Thanks for the follow.
ReplyDeleteSuze -- I'm sure I've heard that song but I don't know their music well enough to recall it. I just know I like them.
