Reaching the End

Show me, Lord, my life’s end
    and the number of my days;
    let me know how fleeting my life is.

Psalm 39:4

New International Version (NIV)

      We are curious about how things will end.  Most of us would never start reading a book or watching a movie without seeing how it will end.   Sometimes we can figure out the ending ahead of time.  Other times we are surprised by the ending.  One thing we do know is there will be an end and we hope it will be a satisfactory ending.

      This month of April has gone by so swiftly--a reminder about how quickly life itself passes.  This April has been an interesting experience as I have taken this meditative Sunday blog and turned into a retrospection of Christian music.  It has been a fun and rewarding ride.

      Next Sunday I will post my A to Z Reflections Post for A Few Words.  At this time I will look back on the A to Z experience as it pertains to this blog and my thoughts on the future of this blog.   Thanks for being a part of April at A Few Words.

To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven

Ecclesiastes 3:1

  1. Hi Arlee! I returned the favor and "followed" you. Thanks for helping to make the A to Z Challenge such a fun event! I will look forward to possibly throwing my hat into the ring for a chance to "guest post" once you guys decide what you are going to do with that...;0)

  7. Thanks for the memories and they will be memories in a few days. Looking forward to reading your reflections. Again, thank you for being the Guru of this challenge, and I am looking forward to reading the book about your days with your family and being part of show biz. I added a link on my "Z" about the amazing orchestra from the Congo. All my best,
    Natalie

  8. That passage in Ecclesiastes is one of my favorites, and always has been. I need to be reminded from time to time that there is a season for everything, and while now may not be the time for some things I want, there may be a future time that is perfect.

  9. Very good. There is a time for everything. I've learned a lot through the a-z and would be interested in posting as a guest too. Let me know how that works. Thank you for your work in sponsoring the Challenge. It helped me gain exposure, and was such a good exercise in writing daily. Hope to stay in touch!

  10. Natalie -- Without all of you this Challenge would be a pretty lonely affair. Thanks for being a part of it. Ah, now, the book--which one to finish first?

    LW -- It is a great passage with some great truth to it.

    Mare-- I've sent you an email about guest posting. I'd love to have you and others as my guests. Glad the Challenge worked well for you.
